Episode 21: Martha Fong (Mandy Wong)“But I am not the same as you today. I am leveled with your master.”
-Duncan (Raymond Cho) reminds Martha (Mandy Wong) not to trust KC (Liu Kai Chi), as they do not know what he has up his sleeves. But Martha knows since she is no longer under KC, she is different from Duncan now.
Episode 22: Charles Cheuk (Lau Dan)“There are only a few words I have with KC: never ending.”
-Henry (Chung King Fai) visits Charles (Lau Dan) in jail before his trial begins. He tells Charles he wants to give up fighting with KC (Liu Kai Chi) because he is tired, but Charles tells him not to give up. Even if it takes his law license to practice, he will still fight with KC to the very end.
Episode 23: Patricia Li (Florence Kwok)“Day one when we entered Donald & Co., you told us to be cautious of KC Lau. Kent Cheung, what happened now? Why do you suddenly trust him so much?”
-Patricia (Florence Kwok) runs to persuade Kent (Alex Fong) from taking over KC’s (Liu Kai Chi) case, not knowing what he has planned ahead. But, to her surprise, Kent believes KC has turned a new leaf after discovering he has cancer. Patricia knows it might just be another tactic for KC to take over the CEO’s position, but he refuses to listen to Patricia.
Episode 24: KC Lau (Liu Kai Chi)“Silly boy. Till the day I die, I am always thinking of winning, how to compete to win, how to fight to win. Whoever gets in my way, I will kick them out. You can go. Hazel can go. Anyone can go. Donald & Co. can lose anyone, but not me, KC Lau.”
-Kent (Alex Fong) finds out that KC (Liu Kai Chi) actually faked his cancer so he would take over his case. KC had set this up so that Kent would face charges for false documents. As he he planned, Kent indeed found himself taking over the case, thinking KC changed for the better. KC swears he thinks of being competitive and winning all the time.
Episode 25: Kent Cheung (Alex Fong)“Hazel, our responsibility is only to give them our professional advice. And then it is up to them to decide. If they want to go, we will walk them to the very end. If they want to back up, we will help them to find the safest location to do so.”
-Kent (Alex Fong) tells Hazel (Ali Lee) it is not the lawyers’ responsibility to tell the client to go or to give up on the case. They only need to give the clients their professional advice, but should not tell them what to do. Hazel still does not understand this point, standing firmly on her ethics of justice.
