Episode 04: Increased TensionsQiao Fei (Yang Mi) tries to persuade her friend Wu Jia Yi (Nikki Li) from dating Gao Jia Ming (Vengo Gao), but she refuses to listen. Meanwhile, Cheng Jia Yang (Huang Xuan) tries to persuade Gao Jia Ming to console Wen Xiao Hua (Zhou Qi Qi), but he is reluctant to do so. Benoit (Xie Shu Mai) sets up a meeting with Qiao Fei, wanting her to quit her studies at the foreign interpreters program and join his company instead. Cheng Jia Yang goes to their meeting and gets very angry. However, he does not know that Qiao Fei has no intention to do so and only wants to refer her younger classmen to work part-time there. On the drive back, Cheng Jia Yang stops the car and in the middle of the road, he learns the background of Qiao Fei: a poor student only wanting to live her dreams. He lends out his shoulders for her to cry on, but only to mock her, and once again, drives off without her.
Originally, Cheng Jia Yang was going to have dinner with Wen Xiao Hua, but she cancels last minute, after receiving a text from Gao Jia Ming to eat dinner with him. He tries to persuade her to break up, as he will never love her back. During their hotpot dinner, a man at the other table suddenly has a heart attack and Gao Jia Ming rushes over as a duty of a doctor, completely ignoring Wen Xiao Hua afterwards.
When Qiao Fei arrives for class, there are no other students in the room. She finds out that Cheng Jia Yang had sent a message to everyone else in regards to a schedule change, except for her. She rushes to reason with him, bumping into Wen Xiao Hua and therefore finding out that Benoit and Cheng Jia Yang were classmates. Cheng Jia Yang calls Benoit over and they clear the confusion that Qiao Fei was planning to quit the program to join his company. Cheng Jia Yang indirectly apologizes to Qiao Fei. But he still excludes her from another schedule change the next day.
