Episode 01: Off to Bad StartsQiao Fei (Yang Mi) is a Chinese exchange student studying abroad in Zurich, Switzerland. While passing out fliers for a student club, she meets Cheng Jia Yang (Huang Xuan). Little does she know he is a professional Chinese/French interpreter. Qiao Fei accidentally translates two wrong school subjects for a Swiss man, causing Cheng Jia Yang to scold her and take away her scholarship.
Flash forward six years later, Qiao Fei is a waitress at a winery and on a particular night that she is working, she encounters Cheng Jia Yang again. She does not recognize him, but he makes it difficult for her: demonstrating how red wine stains can be diluted with white wine as he pours two glasses of wine on her shoulder. When a police stops by, they are unable to verify their identity and end up at the police station. Cheng Jia Yang is retrieved by his older, but not biological brother Gao Jia Ming (Vengo Gao) and Qiao Fei is retrieved by her best friend Wu Jia Yi (Nikki Li).
The next day Qiao Fei runs late to a lecture because she spills coffee when Wu Jia Yi brakes the car abruptly. After translating at the lecture, Cheng Jia Yang goes to pick up Wen Xiao Hua (Zhou Qi Qi) from the airport. She is the girlfriend of Gao Jia Ming and has came back from Switzerland in an attempt to surprise Gao Jia Ming, who shows no interest in her return. Qiao Fei completes her thesis for her masters degree and is ready to pursue an internship at the foreign interpreters program. On her first day, while running late, she runs into Cheng Jia Yang once again, who she later finds out is one of the instructors at the program.
