He Yichen (Wallace Chung) and Zhao Mosheng’s (Tiffany Tang) love story was a journey in My Sunshine. And we took that journey with them, which I will simplify in stages.
Stage 1: HatredAfter they encounter each other again after seven years, Yichen holds a grudge against Mosheng, not understanding why she left without a word. Although he ‘hates’ her, he cannot deny that he still cares for her. He is unable to hold his emotions and feelings towards her.
Stage 2: RemorseThey are reconnected once again through the people around them. It is obvious that Mosheng feels remorse and sorrow whenever they are together. Although Yichen does not know the true intention behind the marriage and divorce, Mosheng feels guilty because Yichen had ‘waited’ for her for seven years.
Stage 3: QuestioningAfter getting back together, Yichen still holds back against Mosheng, treating her coldly after marriage. Although Mosheng is willing to tell her the stories and experiences she had in the past seven years, Yichen shows no intention that he wants to know.
Stage 4: UnderstandingWhen they finally open up to tell one another what life was for the past seven years, they come to understand each other, and also learn to forgive because there were misunderstandings in between them.
Stage 5: EnjoymentResolving the misunderstanding in between them, they start to enjoy each other’s presence again, as how they had during the college years. But of course, both Yichen and Mosheng have became more mature, and their personalities and character have changed for the better.
Stage 6: HappinessWith the past behind them, they learn to embrace their future together, a love story that had not been a smooth ride, but certainly will be from this point on.
