Episode 06: Ben Law (Damian Lau)
-Ben (Damian Lau) on the same day realizes two of his childhood best friends Gordon Lai (KK Cheung) and George (Li Shing Cheong) told a lie when they went to study overseas. Originally Ben was to go with George, but because George did not want Ben to stop him from partying, the two kept it a lie that George’s father did not want Ben to go. Ben angrily stormed off a boat after finding out.
Episode 07: Wah Fong Ying (Liza Wang)
“Some time ago, like you, I put career as first priority. I picked career, not knowing whether it was the right decision or not. But for my career, I gave up my marriage, my family. Now, I just want to be like regular people to have dinner and talk with my children, but this is a wish that will not come true. Giving up is easy, but patching up is very difficult. You can continue running for your career, but at times, you should look back and realize you are only able to run that fast because there is someone supporting you from behind. If you’ve found the one who supports you, then you should cherish [him] even more because he cannot wait for you forever. As you continue running, you will neglect him. And at the end, you will realize you will be left alone.”
-Lydia (Grace Wong) blames Wah Fong Ying (Liza Wang) for leaking pictures of her and her manager/boyfriend to the press, but turns out it is her manager who did it, not wanting her to risk having a concert when her vocal chord needs surgery. Wah Fong Ying talks from one who has experience. She too gave up her family and children for her career. Although she regrets it, not all her kids are willing to forgive her.
-Sean Song (Alex Fong) puts on a whole show in front of Dik Dik (Linda Chung), in hopes that she would tell Wah Fong Ying that the concert idea is Sean’s. Dik Dik feels bad for him that he thinks of ideas but often does not receive credit and must work for a low salary because he does not have the name within the industry.
Episode 09: Yanto Tong (Eliza Sam)
“You did not file for divorce not because you wanted to maintain the marriage. You did not file for divorce because you did not want to ruin your image! Do you know what I would wish for my birthdays when I was younger? For you [and Dad] to file for divorce!”
-Wah Fong Ying (Liza Wang) finally tracks down her younger daughter Yanto (Eliza Sam) in Taiwan. The mother-daughter duo meet for coffee but comes into an argument when Yanto speaks with her yoga teacher Teresa on the phone, who also happens to be the ex-lover of Ben Law (Damian Lau). Wah Fong Ying tells Yanto that many people in the world are two-faced, but Yanto angrily tells her she is one of those people herself. Although she knew her husband was having an extramarital affair, she not only did not file for divorce, but also instructed Yanto and her brother to behave accordingly in front of cameras, as if they were a happy family. Yanto angrily storms off after telling her she had wished for her parents to divorce earlier on.
Episode 10: Sean Song (Alex Fong)
“Dik Dik, do you know it’s like you are in a desert right now, thirsty and tired. Once you see water, you immediately rush to it. But it is all just an illusion… Love is originally an illusion. But once it goes from paying rent and eating dinner, you will wake up. Those who are chasing after love will eventually get lost in the desert and die of thirst. Dik Dik, you are almost 30 years old. Don’t waste time on me. Go find your real water source.”
-Dik Dik (Linda Chung) is unafraid to confess her love for Sean (Alex Fong), but he has sworn that unless he becomes famous, he will not date. It is unsure whether he has feelings for Dik Dik or not, but he continues to use her to get to his target. He tells Dik Dik she is in love with the rich Sean in Taiwan, but not the Sean in reality.
