While at a village investigating and observing how young children are left behind by their working parents, He Yimei (Joyce Jian) stumbles upon Zhang Xu (Liu Cheng Rui). He is part of a music group who visits the young kids once a year, spending time with them and teaching them the basic skills of life as their parents are always not by their side. Yimei asks if she can join and become a part of the group as well. In Zhang Xu, Yimei sees a modest and kind man, willing to help others. And in Yimei, Zhang Xu sees a sincere and kindhearted woman. The two see each other once again as He Yichen (Wallace Chung) and Zhao Mosheng’s (Tiffany Tang) wedding. Yimei sends them her blessings. Xiao Xiao (Viola Mi) and Lu Yuanfeng (Yang Le) are stunned when the nurse tells them there has been an error with the ultrasound scan: there is no baby. Xiao Xiao decides this is the best time to break up with Yuanfeng since there is nothing that ties them together anymore, but Yuanfeng says this only means he wants to be together with her for her and not for the baby.
Two years later, Zhang Xu and Yimei marry, with Mosheng being the photographer. Zhang Xu states in a speech that it took a year to learn about and fall in love with Yimei. A couple months later, he proposed, and the minute he put the ring on her finger, he felt like the happiest and luckiest man in the world. It seems as if Yichen has secretly used his wife, Mosheng as a shield, whether it be not caring about the private matters of the firm’s employees, not going out to dinner with female clients, or only drinking water when out at a bar. Yuan Fei (Lin Peng) laughs at him, saying he will definitely tell Mosheng next time how she has turned into the restrictive wife of a lawyer. Yichen tells his female assistant love should not be measured in time because then that is a waste of quality time spent together.
Yichen comes home to Mosheng laying on the bed, reading a book with her wet hair. He quickly goes to the bathroom to get the hairdryer and helps her blowdry her hair. Relating back to the book she is reading, Mosheng questions Yichen what he would be doing if he was given the chance to be 14 again. Mosheng states if she had the chance, she would definitely go to Yichen’s highschool and find him. Yichen tells her he is sorry but there would not have been a chance for him to date that early. He kisses her after she says he said the same thing in college, but at the end, she still became his girlfriend. The two daydream of their college experience: when Mosheng first took a picture of Yichen on the first day, Mosheng stalking Yichen, Mosheng bothering Yichen in the study hall, and Yichen first holding Mosheng’s hand after he decided she was to be his girlfriend.
