Zhao Mosheng (Tiffany Tang) is at the supermarket looking for a replacement light bulb when a security guard stops her to give her back a wallet. There are no credit cards or identification cards, only cash and a small picture of Mosheng. Mosheng knows it is He Yichen’s (Wallace Chung) after seeing his handwriting on the back of the picture. She proceeds to return the wallet back to him at his office the next day, but he is in court, so she hands it to the receptionist instead. When Yichen obtains the wallet back from a coworker, he notices the picture missing.
The head of the magazine is very satisfied with the sales of the newest issue. She even holds a mini celebration party at the end of the day. Yichen pays a visit to the magazine company, requesting Mosheng to return the picture. Mosheng does not understand why he wants the picture back, with so many bad memories in between them, but he insists.
Mosheng flashbacks to their college days. On the day of student orientation, the young Mosheng (Janice Wu) noticed the young Yichen (Leo Luo) sitting beside a tree studying. She tried to take a picture of him, but he noticed. Mosheng was a first year chemistry student and Yichen a second year law student. She did all sorts of things to get his attention. After developing the film, she gave him the picture, with her name written on the back of it. She sat next to him during lunch. She treated him to a pack of milk drinks after he recommended some books in regards to law to her. He rejected her straight out, saying he is not trying to find a girlfriend on campus. Back at their respective dorm rooms, Mosheng was comforted by her roommates, including the young Lin Shaomei (Xiong Yuting).
