I know it’s been a while since the ending of Coffee cat Mama ended, but I’ve been waiting to see this scene since I read about it on the news. Nancy and Vincent finally having a happy ending! And this is their third collaboration (with the first being Gun Metal Gray and the second being Season of Love). How exciting!
From Episode 20 of Coffee Cat Mama, So Mei (Nancy Wu) decides to give the scarf that she has been knitting to Ah Yum (Vincent Wong) , just as she leaves for Mainland China, for work. But, just as So Mei arrives at the school where Ah Yum was supposed to receive an award, Ah Yum finds out from Fei Fei (May Chan) that she is leaving, so he runs out to find her. Fate has it that So Mei forgets the scarf in the taxi and Ah Yum takes that taxi to the airport, so the taxi driver brings him back to where he had dropped off So Mei. It’s a surprising encounter for So Mei.
So Mei: Why are you here?
Ah Yum: It’s because you are so careless.
So Mei: I left the scarf in the taxi?
Ah Yum: Before, Fei Fei informed me that you were going to China for a long period of time to work, so I was going to go to the airport to stop you. But…
So Mei: Luckily, you took this exact same taxi, or else my scarf would have been gone. Why did the needles come out?
Ah Yum: It was me. I helped you finish off the scarf.
So Mei: Hey! How can you help someone finish off the scarf without asking?
Ah Yum: Were you going to continue knitting the scarf?
So Mei: But after knitting it for so long, there are emotions embedded into it!
Ah Yum: I know why you want to continue. But as fate has it that the scarf landed in my hands, I believe it should me me to finish off the scarf.
So Mei wraps the scarf around Ah Yum’s neck.
So Mei: Oh now, this is really too long!
Ah Yum wraps the remaining part of the scarf around So Mei’s neck.
Ah Yum: Now, this won’t be too long!
Happy ending for So Mai and Ah Yum!
