In Episode 28 of The Hippocratic Crush II, Che Che (Eliza Sam) dies from her terminal illness. This leaves Onion (Him Law) heartbroken.
Onion (Him Law) cries upon finding out about Che Che (Eliza Sam) having a terminal illness.
Yat Kin (Kenneth Ma) consoles Onion.
Onion calls Che Che to go out on a date. Che Che begins to have some trouble speaking and standing up.
They walk into a nice church and Onion tells Che Che he wants to marry her here in the future.
Che Che is too tired to walk anymore, so Onion piggybacks her. Che Che makes Onion promise that he will take care of all her pots of orchids if she is to go to the hospital.
Che Che makes him promise that he will bring a pot of orchid to her everyday if she stays at the hospital. She faints on his shoulders.
She enters the hospital.
And as he had promised, Onion takes care of the orchids and delivers a pot to Che Che everyday.
Che Che’s father discuss Che Che’s condition with Doctor Chong (Ben Wong) and Yat Kin Tau (Kenneth Ma).
Onion continues to take care of the orchids, but notices that they are not in their best condition.
He sleeps besides Che Che, which Che Che cries upon seeing him do this for her.
When Yue Jai (Tavia Yeung), Moon (Louisa So), and Doctor Heung (Tracy Chu) goes to visit, Che Che asks if they can help her apply makeup. She gives them cards: hoping Yue Jai can have a baby with Yat Kin, hoping Moon can continue and publish the story of the faceless man, and hoping Doctor Heung can live life slower and listen to Lokman (Lawrence Ng).
Che Che has to be on life support. With Che Che’s consent, her father signs the DNR (Do No Resuscitate) document. Onion cannot accept this fact.
Onion tries to rescue the orchids overnight. At the same time, he notices that Che Che had set a countdown to mark the end of her life, with the number of pots left at her house.
But, sadly, Che Che had passed on during the night.
When Onion arrives at the hospital, he finds that Che Che had parted.
