Episode 11: Lokman 洛文笙 (Lawrence Ng)“Yes, I am really afraid to face my past mistakes and Yannis. But if I don’t really accelerate to proceed to bump into anything, then I am really just making excuses to myself for not trying at all.”
-Lokman (Lawrence Ng) repeats almost word for word of the ‘principle’ Doctor Heung (Tracy Chu) had told him before. He begins to try to understand and know his daughter Yannis better, just as how Doctor Heung told him she needs to try to take care of her stepson before she can know if she has the ability to do so or not. No pain, no gain.
-Che Che’s (Eliza Sam) uncle is in serious condition in the hospital and must undergo heart surgery. She tells Yeung Chon (Him Law) to bring a lucky charm to her uncle when he is undergoing surgery tomorrow. Yueng Chon tells her that he finally understands the concept that when someone is protecting another person, somebody else is protecting someone.
-Doctor Heung (Tracy Chu) informs an elderly male patient (Joe Junior) that he will undergo surgery tomorrow to remove a tumor. That patient has Alzheimer’s and is always reminiscing about an 80’s singer who committed suicide. Doctor Heung knows he misses his first love, just as how she misses her fiance, who has gone missing.
In my opinion, this week focused too much on the side stories. And because only three episodes aired, it felt even more like the main characters didn’t get enough screen time.
