I don’t remember how I stumbled upon this one, but I was pretty into Weir after Nangfah Gub Mafia. So, I actually started watching this lakorn from the middle, and was trying to keep up with it as it was airing (bad choice… too much excitement and cliffhangers). And then, I watched it from the beginning with subs.
Krao Supagan’s (Weir Sukollawat Kanarot) life changed when he witnessed his mother committing suicide after being raped and then his father dying of grief. He was taken care by his uncle, Pa. From a young age, he studied hard and worked whenever he had free time on Pa’s grape vineyard. He excelled in school, with one thing on mind: to take revenge on the Vichawayt family.
Mr. Vichawayt passed away leaving his fortunes to his three children: the eldest son Asit (Chane Nattawat Plengsiriwa), the second daughter Orn (Tuinuey Pasaraporn Chetiyanuwat) and Nuch (Mai Davika Hoorne). Asit is married to Lita (Yok Thanyanka Thanakitananon).
Nuch’s educational fees were funded by Pa, which she did not know who he was. On the day she comes back, she is kidnapped by Sia, the loansharks. Nuch stumbles upon Krao and they escape together. When she goes home, she finds out that her family is almost bankrupt. Once back home, Krao sketches the girl who he has just met. Nok (Ice Atitchanan Seesaywok), Nuch’s friend, invited Krao (her father’s friend) to a party at the Vichawayts. Krao is happy that his plans for revenge are finally beginning.
Lita, a money hungry woman, locks Nuch up, not wanting her to steal her spotlight. Nuch tries to escape by climbing out of a window, to which Krao catches her just in time. During the party, the loansharks come asking for trouble, and Krao, says he is willing to pay off the debts (as he wants to go on with his plans for revenge).
He contacts all in the field that Nuch is looking for a job in. Nuch is rejected at all her interviews, but she stumbles upon his company, and has no choice but to become his personal secretary. Krao seduces Lita, and at the same time, tries to make Orn fall in love with him, to which he succeeds. However, he doesn’t realize that he has actually fallen in love with Nuch.
Nuch has a friend Chaitong (Mac Weeradon Wangcharoenporn), who has a crush on her, but she only sees him as a friend. As the Vichiwayt family is in severe debt, Chaitong’s father wants his son to cut his ties with Nuch and instead, date Tarin (Hana Lewis), whose family is about equal status as them. Orn’s co-worker Pharop (Note Watcharabul Leesuwan) has a crush on Orn, but because of Krao’s appearance, he can only support her as a friend.
Krao causes misunderstandings between Nuch and her siblings, causing her to put everything in the city behind and go into the countryside to take care of Pa. While everyone is trying to look for Nuch, Krao goes to visit his uncle and sees Nuch there, but keeps it a secret and orders Nuch around like a servant.
One time, Lita argues with her ex-husband (A Arucha Tosawat) on the streets, and Asit tries to stop them, causing a car to hit into him. Asit becomes disabled from the hip down and must use a wheelchair. Because of this, Lita looks down upon him.
Krao sets a dinner date with Orn, but because the servants told him Nuch has gone missing after she drove off a truck, Krao goes to find her instead in the rain and forgets to tell Orn. Orn ends up waiting for the entire night, to be comforted by Pharop at the end. Krao finds Nuch, but because she fainted in the rain, she becomes sick. Krao stays by her bedside and even hugs her for the entire night to give body heat to warm her.
Nuch complains she is bored from just sleeping, sitting, and eating, so Krao brings her to a waterfall and the hilltop, to which she is the first person to go with him. Lita and Chaitong goes to Pa’s vineyard to find Nuch. LIta continues to seduce Krao and even causes a misunderstanding between Nuch and Krao by locking Nuch and Chaitong in a poorly ventilated room. When Nuch finds out that her brother was injured from the car accident, she goes back to the city.
Nuch tries to set up a dinner date for Nok and Krao, but Nok encounters two men trying to harass her, and thankfully, Krao’s doctor friend Cannit (Art Sajjakarge Jitpeungtam) arrives just in time to rescue her. But, when they get to the restaurant, Nok sees Krao forcefully kissing Nuch, making Nok break off the friendship. Nuch questions why Krao wants to cause so many misunderstandings between her and the people she cares about.
Krao forces Nuch to take wedding pictures with him. Nuch buys the most expensive ring in the store, but then shoves it back to Krao. Orn thinks the wedding dresses in the CD are for her and Lita thinks the rings are for her.
On the day when the Vichiwayt family must pay and clear their debt with the loanshark, Nuch secretly goes to the loanshark’s house to beg him to give an extension. Just as he is about to rape her, Krao comes in just in time to save her. Krao helps them to pay off the debt and proposes to Asit for Nuch’s hand on marriage, much to Lita’s anger and jealousy and Orn’s sadness. Krao thinks that through marriage, Nuch will fall in love with him. Krao tells Nuch she will be his mistress and not his wife. Nuch marries Krao thinking her sister-in-law Lita will go back to Asit.
On the day of the wedding, Lita causes a whole scene and moves out of the Vichiwayts’ house the next day. Nok comes to tell Nuch their friendship is over. Nuch locks Krao out of the master bedroom, but when she sees him shivering on the sofa, she brings him a blanket. Krao once again bullies Nuch when he finds his wife talking to Chaitong. Pa arrives just on time to stop the commotion. Krao promises he will not do things to hurt Nuch again and they hug for the first time. Krao knows he has fallen in love with Nuch, but he cannot put down his anger, and thus wants to continue to plot his revenge.
Pharop tries to cheer up Orn. Cannit and Nok meet for the “first time” since their previous misunderstandings. Krao persuades Lita to go back to Asit as part of his plan. Orn is finally willing to leave her room. Asit gets injured again. Lita tells her ex-husband to kidnap Nuch, while she can tell Asit to sign papers to transfer the company over to her. Krao, once again comes to the rescue just as Lita’s ex-husband is about to rape Nuch.
Nuch, Orn, and Pharop start to investigate Krao’s company. Nuch promises Krao that if he cuts ties with Lita, she is willing to be his wife. Nuch sends videos to Lita faking her sweetness and love with Krao, angering Lita to come bother Krao. Nuch tells Krao since he interfered with Lita, their deal is over. Krao hires bodyguards to watch over Nuch so she would not be able to leave the house. Lita tries to seduce a drunk Krao, but Nok comes in time just to wake Krao up. Lita successfully drugs Asit to transfer the family’s estate to her.
Krao ties Nuch up in the master bedroom, prohibiting her from leaving the room. Orn, Pharop, and Chaitong find out from Pa why Krao wants to take revenge on the VIchiwayt family. While Asit is in the hospital due to Lita overdosing him with medicine, Lita kicks Orn out of the house. Chaitong tries to help Nuch escape, but Krao comes back to stop them, bringing the police to the house as well. Nuch begs Krao to not press charges on Chaitong. Krao forces Nuch to sign and sell the Vichiwayt’s assets to him. Pa tries to convince Krao to stop his revenge plans on the Vichiwayt family. Nuch, once again tries to escape by faking a stomachache, but Krao captures her again.
Krao brings Nuch to Pa’s vineyard, forcing her to cook and clean, and instructing that no one can help her. Nuch injures her shoulder while cleaning. Pa tells Krao to stop his plans, as enough people have been injured, including Pa himself, who lost the ability to walk from a car accident trying to run over Mr. Vichiwayt. Lita, Nok, Asit, and Orn all arrive to the vineyard. Krao attempts to rape Orn, but is stopped by Asit and Nuch. Krao goes as far as cutting off all communication methods in the house.
Lita, once again instructs her ex-husband to get rid of Nuch. He and his men arrive to the vineyard, and Nok senses something is wrong, but she does not tell anyone, until she realizes she still cares about Nuch. Through a battle of gunfires, the police arrive to the scene and arrest Lita’s ex-husband. Asit slowly regains the ability to stand up and walk again. Krao chains Nuch into her bed. Krao comes to his senses and kicks Lita off the vineyard property.
Nuch witnesses Krao breaking down, while he is telling Pa how he wants to put the revenge plans down, but his nightmares haunt him. Nok decides to seduce her Uncle Krao, but Cannit tells her what she is trying to do is only making herself seem cheap. Nok finally puts Krao down and decide to help him. Pa tells Nuch to divorce Krao since he has caused so much unhappiness to their lives. Krao is sad when he learns that Nuch is leaving the next day. Krao goes to confront her, and both of them tell each other how much they “hate” each other. They discover how much they actually love one another. Orn and Pharop bring Nuch home the next day and Nuch is informed what her dad has done to Krao’s mom.
Krao goes to his mountain top and rethinks all the things that have happened after Nuch goes home. Annoyed and angry, he decides to tell Nuch to go back home with him as they are husband and wife now. Lita has to go to jail for instructing her ex-husband to kill Nuch. No one is willing to bail her, so she apologizes and begs Nuch to bail her out.
Nok questions Krao why he is not willing to let Nuch go. Krao says it is because she owns him debt. Krao does not understand why Nuch is so forgiving towards Lita. Nuch says hate will not lead to anywhere. While Krao is not in the house, Lita sneaks in and tells Nuch that Krao will only seduce her and then use her. She forcefully stuffs pills into Nuch’s mouth, wanting to kill her. Krao comes home to an unconscious Nuch, so he rushes her to the hospital. Since Lita set the scene as if Nuch committed suicide, Krao believed so too. Pa blames Krao for causing all this trouble.
Weir, for once is actually regretful for his actions, as Nuch is still in a coma. Krao wants to take care of Nuch, but Orn and everyone else is against him and kicks him out of the hospital room. As Nuch is unable to speak, she is unable to tell anyone that Lita was the one at fault. Lita attempts to kill Nuch again, as her ex-husband tells her she does not have another way out of this.
While Asit and Krao are fighting in the parking lot, Lita tries to stop the oxygen tube. Krao comes back to see an unconscious Nuch. And when everyone else rushes in, they all believe Krao is the one who did it. One of the servants found Lita’s gun in the room where Lita attempted to murder Nuch. Krao speculates Nuch didn’t commit suicide. Lita attempts to murder Nuch again, but Nuch was trying to tell her siblings about the incident, and therefore, they overheard how Lita was trying to kill Nuch. As Lita tries to run away from the police, a car crashes into her, ruining the face she once used to seduce men.
Nok and Cannit decide to help Krao when they realized he is still unwilling to follow what his heart tells him. Nuch, still a little jealous over what Lita had told her, tries to resist talking to Krao. After Krao’s confession of him wanting to be with Nuch again, Nuch finally eases herself. She tells him she will take revenge on him. Krao says he is willing to take all of it. Nuch says she will imprison him. Krao says with her hugs. Nuch says she will torture him. Krao says with her eyes. Nuch says she will harass him. Krao says with her lips.
However, Krao is still unwilling to say he loves Nuch. Krao knows there is nothing much he can do, so he buys the Vichiwayt estate off the loanshark to give back to the family. Krao gives a 500 million baht check to Asit so he can restart the family business, but he rejects the offer. Krao goes to Pa and asks him why is it so hard for them to forgive him, even though he is trying hard to make up for his mistakes already.
Krao can only watch Nuch afar from the gates of the Vichiwayt mansion. Krao still does not have to courage to tell Nuch he loves her. Chaitong orders some men to beat up Krao outside the VIchiwayt mansion. Nuch stays by Krao’s bedside as he is injured. Chaitong, who is sad that Nuch is not appreciative for what he has done for her, gets drunk. Tarin stays by his side for the night. When Asit finds out that Nuch went to find Krao, he threatens her that if she does not want Krao dead, she has to go home. Orn tells Asit that he should forgive Krao, as their younger sister is in love with Krao.
They go to Krao’s house and Asit tells him he will forgive him if he is willing to forgive their father. The Vichiwayt siblings pay respect to Krao’s parents. Krao and Nuch sign divorce papers, as both are unwilling to be the first to say they love the other one.
Krao finally builds up the courage to tell Nuch he loves her. When he arrives at the Vichiwayt mansion, he senses something is wrong. It turns out Lita’s ex-husband tried to rape Nuch. Krao helps Nuch escape, but Nuch gets shot as they are running. When Nuch collapses, Krao finally tells Nuch he loves her.
Cannit declares his love for Nok. Pharop declares his love for Orn. Chaitong realizes Tarin is actually the one who cares about him most and proposes to her.
When Nuch recovers, Krao once again tells her he loves her, but she “playfully” tells him it’s too late and she hates him. Krao tells Nuch she is his angel. She taught him what is forgiveness and what is love. They finally reconcile.
Haha, what a long summary I’ve written. I should have written this up when I finished the series, but I got occupied with other things and when I finally decided to write it up, I forgot most of the plot, so I actually ended up going back and skimming through it to write the summary. But, that wasn’t too bad of an idea! I got to see Weir and Mai Davika. After this series, I was just so into Weir (I still am).
Here is what I noticed when I skimmed through the series to write this summary. Krao (Weir Sukollawat Kanarot) is always bullying Nuch (Mai Davika Hoorne). Chaitong (Mac Weeradon Wangcharoenporn) is like her bodyguard, he is always watching Nuch and trying to save her from danger. Tarin (Hana Lewis) is like Chaitong’s bodyguard. She is always tagging behind him. Cannit (Art Sajjakarge Jitpeungtam) is like a bodyguard to Nok (Ice Atitchanan Seesaywok), he is always there to protect her when something goes wrong. Nok, is Krao’s bodyguard. She somehow comes to the rescue whenever Lita (Yok Thanyanka Thanakitananon) is bothering Krao. Lita’s ex-husband is always sneaking behind her to ask her for more money.
Krao is nearly bipolar. He can’t make up his mind whether to keep going with the revenge plans or to stop his plans. Everyone, including himself know for a fact that he loves Nuch, but he is not willing to admit it, until the very end.
I am glad I watched this lakorn. Weir Sukollawat is too charming. The translated title is right indeed: “Charming Deception”. He’s charmed all of us! YAY WEIR!
