Seeing that Oum Ruk had pretty high ratings and was the hottest topic of time when it aired, I decided to give it a try. It was going to be another Ken and Anne series.
Napat (Anne Thongprasom) is a successful model. Chen (Ken Theeradeth Wonpuapan) is a photographer. Chen had once told Napat that she would not make it in the industry. When the two meet again a few years later at a party, both get drunk and end up in bed together.
Chuan (Num Kunchai Kumnerdploy) and Noona (Oh Pakjira Wanasut) are a couple working in Chen’s photographing studio. They have been trying hard for a baby, but have been unsuccessful, as Chen walks in to disrupt them almost every time.
Anna (Jamie Bouher) is Anna’s friend, who is always there by her side, and is the first one to find out with Napat that she is pregnant after taking several pregnancy tests. Napat tries various methods to “lose the baby naturally”, but is unsuccessful. Although Napat does not want to tell Chen, as both are not fond of one another, Anna eventually decides to tell Chen. Chen begs Napat to keep the baby.
Napat sets out to find a good daddy for the baby, trying to reconnect with her ex-boyfriends, but for various reasons, they are not appealing anymore. Napat also has plans to make Mark (Tah Warit Tipgomut) the baby’s daddy, but is interuptted by Anna and Chen. Chen’s girlfriend Jasmine (Tuj Chankanok Rukshep) starts to suspect something is going on between Chen and Napat.
Chen starts to deliver daily baskets filled with nutritious foods, drinks, or snacks to Napat’s condo. In the baskets, he writes what is nutritious about the items. At the same time, Napat discovers herself wanting and having the urge to eat flowers.
When Napat and Jasmine are to film an advertisement overseas, Jasmine discovers the secret that Napat is pregnant and exposes it to the press. Because of this, Napat goes to seek her father, who she is not so close to. Back in Thailand, Chen holds a press conference and announces he will marry Napat.
Upon returning to Thailand, Napat goes to live with Chen’s family (his aunt, his cousin, and his cousin-in-law) in the countryside for more privacy. His aunt is not so fond of Napat as she thinks she acts like a diva superstar. They fake a marriage ceremony so the press won’t suspect the actual truth. On the wedding night, Mark tells Chen that the competition is still on for them to win Napat’s heart.
Napat and Chen move to Chuan and Noona’s apartment because Napat cannot stand Chen’s aunt. In the apartment, Chen cooks all her meals, does all the chores, and reads her information about pregnancies and babies so Nupat can fall asleep. When Mark came over for dinner, Chen is jealous. When Chen does not come home for dinner, Napat is worried.
When Chen is sick, Napat takes care of him: cooking and feeding him. Napat becomes extra sensitive, often crying over the smallest things. Jasmine tries to win Napat back, but is unsuccessful. When Napat goes away for a few days, she cannot fall asleep because she has been used to Chen reading to her.
Chen helps to reunite Nupat and her mother. Nupat’s mother and stepfather owns a resort in the countryside. Chen brings her there and Nupat finds out that her mother actually did not get along with her father, but it was only because of her that she decided to maintain the marriage for 15 years, but after that, she really could not take it anymore, so she went back to Thailand and met Uncle Bai, her stepfather. During the vacation, to which Mark and Anna also went, Chen and Nupat start to care more for one another.
Jasmine, who does not want to lose Chen, begins to cause misunderstandings between Napat and Chen, telling different things to Napat, Chen, and Mark. Jasmine exposed untrue news to the press, questioning the baby’s father and further damaging Napat’s reputation. Napat and Chen escape to the countryside resort that Napat’s mother and stepfather owns, but are later discovered by the press anyways.
Napat and Chen are drawn closer by reading informational books about parenting and the baby. Noona is finally pregnant. Napat prepared a birthday dinner for Chen, but when Chen sees Napat with Mark, he thinks it is a candlelight dinner for Mark instead and becomes jealous and goes home to his aunt instead.
Napat gives birth to a girl, with Chen by her side in the delivery room. Because Chen did not believe there was nothing between Napat and Mark, Napat tells him she can be a single mom and raise their daughter by herself. Napat is starting to regret her decision. Their friends try to help them get back together.
A few months passed and Napat visits Chen’s photography gallery, just before Chen leaves for France to start his new life. Napat is surprised that the pictures are all of her, during different stages in her pregnancy. Napat tells Chen not to go, as she never thought of leaving him. They reconcile. It turns out Anna became the girlfriend of Mark when they both go overseas.
This was an enjoyable drama overall, it wasn’t too long and wasn’t too short. It shows how the hot-tempered Chen (Ken Theeradeth Wonpuapon) slowly becomes more caring because of the unexpected pregnancy. Napat (Anne Thongprasom) also slowly begins to appreciate Chen for who he is. And I really have to say that Anna (Jamie Bouher) is like the best friend anyone can ask her, always by Napat’s side when she needs her.
